La Conca del Barbellino

The Barbellino basin, where Rifugio Curò stands, is a place of great charm, characterized by the presence of:

Lago del Barbellino:

An imposing artificial basin, whose emerald-colored waters reflect the surrounding peaks.
The dam that blocks it is an engineering work of considerable impact.
Alpine Landscape:

The basin is surrounded by majestic peaks, typical of the Orobie Alps, offering spectacular panoramas.
The context is that of a high mountain environment, with pastures, rocks, and, in some periods, snow patches.
Rifugio Curò:

The hut itself is a historical and welcoming point of reference for hikers.
Its position allows for a privileged view of the lake and the mountains.
Cascate del Serio (Serio Waterfalls):

Near the hut, you can find the famous Cascate del Serio, which with their three drops and a total height of 315 meters are among the highest in Italy.
In summary, the Barbellino basin at Curò is an environment that combines the natural beauty of alpine landscapes with the grandeur of human works, offering a unique experience to hikers.
