Route Description:

From Rifugio Alpe Corte to Passo dei Laghi Gemelli:

Leaving the welcoming Rifugio Alpe Corte behind, the CAI 216 trail will accompany you on a gradual but constant ascent towards the Passo dei Laghi Gemelli.

As you climb, the forest thins out, giving way to wide green pastures, dotted with colorful flowers during the summer season. Here, grazing cows and the sound of their bells contribute to creating a bucolic and relaxing atmosphere.

The ascent, while not presenting particular technical difficulties, requires good physical training. As the hike progresses, the panoramic views of Val Seriana become increasingly wide and spectacular. The peaks of the surrounding mountains, such as Pizzo Arera and Monte Corte, stand impressively on the horizon, offering an unforgettable spectacle.

After about 3 hours of walking, you reach the Passo dei Laghi Gemelli (2139 m), an alpine pass that marks the border between Val Seriana and Val Brembana. From here, the view sweeps 360 degrees over the surrounding peaks, the lakes below, and the valleys that open up at your feet. A moment to pause and admire the panorama and take some photos is a must!

Descent towards Rifugio Laghi Gemelli:

From Passo dei Laghi Gemelli, the trail begins to descend gently towards the lakes characterized by their intensely blue crystal-clear waters. On its shores stands the Rifugio Laghi Gemelli, the final destination of this stage.

Rifugio Laghi Gemelli, with its panoramic position and warm welcome, is the ideal place to rest after the walk and enjoy a good hot meal. From here, you can admire a spectacular view of Pizzo Becco and Pizzo Farno, two of the most evocative peaks in the Orobie.
