Where to collect your free passport

Prepare your Passport for the Eastern Orobie Loop!

The Passport is your pocket-sized and personalized souvenir linked to the Eastern Orobie Loop Trail and the mountain huts you will encounter.

New for 2025

Starting this year, the passport is evolving and is divided into 3 distinct types, designed to meet different needs and hiking styles:
  • Orobie Passport: Ideal for those who wish to tackle the full Eastern Orobie loop consecutively, typically in about 1 week.
  • Young Passport: Dedicated to young people aged 14 to 17, it allows access and stamping at the same huts as the full loop, but with the flexibility to divide the hikes over the entire season.
  • Family Passport: Specially designed for families with small children, this passport allows you to reach and discover mid-mountain huts that are more accessible and suitable for them.

It is essential to collect the passport (of the chosen type) before embarking on the hike.

Where to Collect Your Passport:

You can collect your Passport (choosing from the 3 available formats) at different points:

  • L'ufficio di Vivi Ardesio (Ardesio)
  • Il Panificio Minuscoli (via Locatelli 40, Ardesio)
  • La Pasticceria Bigoni (via Duca d’Aosta 7, Ardesio)
  • L’Infopoint ValSeriana e Scalve di Ponte Nossa
  • Visit Bergamo
  • La Sede Centrale del Cai - Bergamo

Passport Activation: Important Rules!

Activation is a crucial step to complete before you start collecting stamps and memories of your hike, but the methods vary depending on the type of passport:

  • For the Orobie Passport and the Young Passport: Activation is possible EXCLUSIVELY at the collection points in Ardesio (Vivi Ardesio Office, Panificio Minuscoli, Pasticceria Bigoni). You must therefore start with the passport already activated from Ardesio.
  • For the Family Passport: There is no obligation to go through the Vivi Ardesio office or the Ardesio partners for initial activation. The activation methods for this passport are more flexible and are usually linked to the specific huts partnered with the Family initiative, potentially allowing you to activate it even directly on the route or upon arrival at the first Family hut visited.

Start prepared with your activated Passport (according to the rules of your chosen format) to best enjoy your adventure in the Orobie mountains!

Happy hiking in your Orobie mountains!
