The “Sentiero delle Orobie” trail (Central-eastern Orobie Ring Territory) is an alpine work – carried out in Lombardy, Italy, in the years 1950-1975.

The Orobie Ring Trail draws an 80 Km long border of a 290 Sq/Km area with a population of about 11,000 inhabitants, living in 8 municipalities over the designated territory.

The area is located 80 Km (1h 10min – 1h 25min) from Milan city centre, and 45 Km (40min) from the nearest Milan (Orio al Serio) airport,  the third busiest international airport in Italy.

The Orobie Mountains Park is a protected area that has been designated a “Mountain Park forest”. It includes the southern side of the Orobie chain of Alps, the provincial territory of Bergamo, and covers an area of 63 thousand hectares.
